There is a long history of Memento Mori reminders, including coins. We have added our own spin on the concept and included a new reverse side, “Memento Vivere” which translates to “remember that you have to live.” We believe there is a beautiful balance between accepting mortality and embracing life. Memento mori (Latin: "Remember that you have to die.") is the medieval Latin Christian theory and practice of reflection on mortality. Memento vivere (Latin: "Remember you have to live.") Know that your time is short in the grand scheme of things. So have fun while you are here.
